At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Vietnamese shooting will compete in three events: women's 10m air rifle (Le Thi Mong Tuyen); women's 10m air pistol, and 25m sport air pistol (Trinh Thu Vinh). That means we have three opportunities to compete for medals in France. The two athletes were trained in Korea in June 2024 and are now continuing their training in Hungary. With the stressful nature of the Olympics, before going to Hungary for the final training phase, Trinh Thu Vinh affirmed that she is in a stable mentality and is fully focused on competing. The coaching staff of the Vietnamese weightlifting team said that each tactical exercise when entering the official competition is being prepared in the best way to help the athletes achieve the weight level as prepared. Vietnamese weightlifters won a Silver Medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics (China), a Bronze Medal at the 2012 London Olympics (UK). Now, Trinh Van Vinh still has a chance to compete. On the technical table after the Olympic qualifying round, Trinh Van Vinh's best total lift result was 294kg, thereby ranking 9th. The entire 61kg men's weightlifting category has 12 athletes competing. To have a chance to enter the medal competition group, Trinh Van Vinh's total lift result must be 300kg or higher to be eligible to compete. The last sport that Vietnamese sports predicts has a chance of achieving high results is women's boxing. Two boxers Ha Thi Linh and Vo Thi Kim Anh are the first Vietnamese to go to France.
