Lak District: Striving for Lak Lake to contribute 40% of the total tourism revenue of the whole district each year

On August 30, 2023, Lak District Party Committee issued Resolution No. 13-NQ/HU on protecting the scenic relic of Lak Lake to build Lak district to develop rapidly - harmoniously - sustainably.

The general objective of the Resolution is to mobilize resources, gradually embellish the landscape, preserve and promote the value of the Lak Lake scenic relic; promote tourism activities to develop the district's socio -economy; protect the original state of the land and space of the Lak Lake scenic relic.

The specific objective must ensure the preservation of the integrity of the natural landscape, terrain, geomorphology and other geographical elements containing biodiversity and unique ecosystems, physical traces of development stages and architectural works related to the Lak Lake landscape; protect the landscape and ecological environment of the relic and be an area where construction works are allowed to serve the protection and promotion of the value of the Lak Lake landscape. Develop plans and solutions to keep the lake water level at 85% or more of the lake bed area to serve production, tourism development and aquaculture, in which regulating and providing irrigation water for at least 2,000 hectares of annual crops for communes adjacent to Lak Lake.

Strive to annually generate revenue from tourism services related to Lak Lake to contribute about 40% of total tourism revenue in the entire district; annual aquatic product output from Lak Lake to reach at least 15% or more of the district's total aquatic product output...

Some solutions to implement the Resolution: Enhance the leadership role and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, Party members; heads of Party committees and Party organizations of localities adjacent to or where Lak Lake is under their management in protecting the scenic relic of Lak Lake. Enhance the management and operation efficiency of authorities at all levels in preserving and conserving the scenic relic of Lak Lake. Strengthen the propaganda, mobilization, supervision and criticism of the Fatherland Front at all levels and socio-political organizations in protecting the scenic relic of Lak Lake.
