Isak's final sentence surprised everyone, even though they knew about his continuous skipping of training and refusal to play for Newcastle in the first round of the Premier League. Immediately after that, Newcastle also officially spoke about the situation on social networks through written words.

In the post, Newcastle confirmed their disappointment with Isak's actions and stated their stance: "We are disappointed to have been informed of Alexander Isak's social media post. Isak remains under contract and there has been no commitment from the club that Alex can leave Newcastle United this summer."
