At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Bac Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City - announced the decision of Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Director of the Department of Tourism - to be appointed as Chairwoman of the Board of Members of Saigon Tourist Corporation - LLC (Saigontourist Group), a 100% state-owned enterprise.

At the same time, Mr. Pham Huy Binh - Chairman of the Board of Members of Saigontourist Group - was appointed as Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism. The term of office of these two personnel is 5 years.

Mr. Binh has a master's degree in economics and a bachelor's degree in politics . He served as Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism before becoming Chairman of the Saigontourist Board of Members from August 2016 to present.

Also at the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City leaders presented the decision to appoint Mr. Le Anh Tu - Secretary of Con Dao Special Zone - to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh - former Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Binh Duong province (before the merger) - was appointed to the position of Deputy Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

In addition, the leadership staff of Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) was also strengthened after the consolidation of administrative boundaries and the rearrangement of affiliated press agencies.

Mr. Cao Anh Minh continues to hold the position of General Director of HTV, along with 5 deputy directors including Mr. Thai Thanh Chung, Ms. Diep Buu Chi, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Binh, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang and Mr. Truong Thanh Phong.

During this ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also awarded retirement decisions with social insurance benefits to three officials, including Mr. Luong Minh Phuc - Director of the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board; Mr. Tran Truong Son - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society, and Ms. Dinh Hong Minh, Vice Principal of Ly Tu Trong College, Ho Chi Minh City.
