Winger Jack Grealish has accepted a pay cut to help Everton complete a season-long loan deal from Man City, with an option to buy next year for £50m.
The English star currently earns around £300,000 a week at Man City and he has agreed to take a pay cut in exchange for regular playing time and regaining his form.

Preparing to go to Everton
Jack Grealish has flown to Everton to undergo a medical ahead of signing his contract today, August 12. He hopes to make his debut for Everton in the Premier League opener against Leeds United this weekend.
Last season, the 29-year-old player was only given 7 appearances in the first team by coach Pep Guardiola, an important factor that caused him to lose his place to attend Euro 2024 with the England team.

David Moyes has convinced Jack Grealish that Everton can be the springboard to help him resurrect himself and compete for a place in Thomas Tuchel's England squad for the 2026 World Cup. A move to the North West would also allow him to be closer to his young family.

Grealish was Man City's record £100m signing from Aston Villa in 2021. He received a number of offers to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer, but chose Everton with playing opportunities as his top priority.

Man City's busy summer
Man City are still busy in the transfer market. The former Premier League champions are in talks to sign Real Madrid striker Rodrygo for around £80m while they continue to negotiate the sale of James McAtee to Nottingham Forest for close to £30m. The 22-year-old midfielder is also wanted by German clubs Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Savinho had an impressive debut season but struggled to compete with the newly strengthened squad.
Man City need to quickly get back on track on all fronts
Tottenham, after giving up on Jack Gralish, are still in contact with Man City to sign 21-year-old winger Savinho for an expected fee of around £60m. Spurs are looking for an attacking option after selling Son Heung-min, losing James Maddison to a long-term injury and failing to sign Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White.
Grealish's move to Everton is considered a "win-win" move: The player gets more playing time, Everton gets a new star, and Man City opens the way for new transfer plans. If he regains his peak form, Jack Grealish could become one of the most successful loan contracts of the season.
After a trophyless season, Man City have embarked on a shopping spree to get back into the title race. New signings include Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Tijjani Reijnders, Sverre Nypan and goalkeepers James Trafford and Marcus Bettinelli.
In the opposite direction, Man City has officially said goodbye to Kevin de Bruyne, Kyle Walker, Scott Carson, Vitor Reis, Yan Couto and Maxico Perrone. The next names to leave the Etihad Stadium, in addition to Jack Grealish, James McAtee, will likely be Kalvin Phillips, Stefan Ortega. Girona, the team that asked to borrow Vitor Reis, is considering borrowing Claudio Echeverri and Sverre Nypan.
