Karik releases rap's first double album, celebrating 15 years in the profession

On July 11, Karik officially released the first double album of Vietnamese rap called "421" marking 15 years of being involved in rap music.

The album consists of 14 songs, divided into two separate albums with contrasting colors: Bright Side and Dark Side. Accordingly, each part of the album reveals a separate aspect, demonstrating the diversity and flexibility in the male rapper's musical style.

Karik said he chose the number "421" as the album name with the meaning "4 years, 2 albums, 1 journey" and only one Karik. Besides, when read backwards, "421" is also the rapper's birthday (April 12). In addition, the sum of the 3 numbers is 7 - a number that has a special meaning to Karik and is also the number of songs in each part of the album.

According to Karik, "421" not only recounts his artistic career but also the rapper's growth in love and life.

Previously, Karik released 4 songs: Co choi co chiu, Ban doi, Moi nguoi ke tiep of Bright Side and most recently Nhat ky vao doi in collaboration with Thai VG of Dark Side . The remaining ten songs in this album have been officially released, continuing and expanding the spirit of the previous songs.

The order of the songs in the double album is arranged by Karik from the dark corners that he rarely puts into music, gradually moving to brighter aspects.

Karik said, Dark Side is a music section with a strong underground hip hop feel with edgy rap lyrics. This brings back to him the image of himself in the early days of his career.
