According to the An Giang Department of Tourism, on the first day of the September 2 holiday, An Giang tourism welcomed over 77,000 visitors, a slight increase over the same period in 2024; of which, there were over 4,800 international visitors.
Total revenue from tourism reached 142 billion VND, up 29.9% over the same period in 2024. Phu Quoc special zone alone welcomed over 22,000 visitors, up 5.9% over the same period in 2024; of which, there were over 4,800 international visitors.
Due to the weather conditions in the first days of the September 2nd holiday, there were rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds due to the influence of storm number 5 and tropical depression, affecting tourism activities, especially outdoor recreational activities, sightseeing activities on islands and at sea.
