From his childhood passion for electrical circuits and electronic devices, Quan turned his passion into a journey to conquer knowledge.
Entered college with a total high school graduation exam score of 26.25/30
Ho Thanh Quan, a former student of Phan Dang Luu High School ( Hue City), scored 9.75 points in physics and 9 points in math in the 2025 high school graduation exam. With a total score of 26.25/30, Thanh Quan was admitted to the major of control and automation engineering technology, and became the valedictorian based on graduation exam scores.
Thanh Quan shared that since he was a child, he has had a passion for electrical circuits and electronic devices. “I often go online to learn about electrical circuits and how to repair electronic devices in the house, so I can fix any broken items in the house,” Quan said with a smile.
Sharing with Thanh Nien reporter, Thanh Quan said that at first, he planned to apply to the University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education or to study at a college. However, later, he decided to register at Cao Thang Technical College.

“My parents are very supportive of my decision to go to college because the cost of college is suitable for my family's economic conditions, the study time is fast, I can start working soon, and it's also in my favorite field,” Quan confided.
Sharing about his future career orientation, Quan said he will focus on studying and improving his Japanese to have the opportunity to work abroad in the future.
Thanh Quan was one of three students honored at the opening ceremony. With the achievement of being the top student in the entrance exam, Thanh Quan received a 100% scholarship for the first semester tuition.
Along with Quan, there is also student Doan Tuan Kiet, a former student of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (Vinh Long, former Ben Tre ), who was admitted to the Automotive Engineering Technology major with a total score of 28.96/30 based on the transcript review method. Kiet only registered for one college, because from the beginning he had decided to study at a college.
“My family also supports this choice, because for me, studying at college or university is not important, what is important is studying the right major that I love, with reasonable costs, short training time and being able to start working soon. In the future, I hope to work abroad,” Kiet shared.
Nguyen Thi Ngoc Han, a former student of Quan Trong Hoang High School (Vinh Long, former Ben Tre), was also admitted to the automotive engineering technology major based on academic records, with a total score of 28.89/30.
Like Kiet, Han decided to study at college from the beginning so she did not apply for university. Although she is female, Han is especially interested in the field of engineering. “However, my biggest limitation when studying this field is health issues. In the class, there is only one female, so I often receive support and help from teachers and friends,” Han said.
