Opening of the Live Judging of the 29th South Central and Central Highlands Art Photography Festival in Da Nang in 2024

(NADS) - On the morning of March 27, in Da Nang , the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists coordinated with the People's Committee of Da Nang City and the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City to organize the Opening Ceremony of Live Photo Judging for the Final Round of the 29th South Central and Central Highlands Art Photography Festival in 2024.

Attending the Opening Ceremony were journalist - Artist Le Nguyen - Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Chairman of the Art Council of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; Mr. Bui Van Tieng - President of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Festival Organizing Committee; Artist Huynh Anh - Member of the Executive Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; Artist Xuan Chinh - Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Exhibition Creation Committee of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; Mr. Ho Dinh Nam Kha - Chief of Office of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City; Mr. Than Nguyen - President of the Photography Association of Da Nang City, Member of the Art Council of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Head of the Da Nang Association of Photographic Artists and many people who love artistic photography.

This festival was launched with the theme “Country – People of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands”. The organizing committee received 2,032 works (166 photo series and 1,866 single photos) from 277 authors.

Based on the results of the online photo judging in the exhibition round, the total number of works that made it to the final round of live judging was 162, including 121 single photos and 41 photo sets. The Jury judged the photos directly by voting, adding up the points over 4 rounds. In the final round, a total of 15 works were awarded prizes.

The Jury of this year's Central Highlands - South Vietnam ANT Festival includes:

Accordingly, 1 work was awarded a Gold Medal, 3 works won Silver Medals, 4 works won Bronze Medals and 7 Consolation Prizes.

As part of the Photo Festival activities, from March 27 to 28, 2024, the Organizing Committee launched a Marathon photo contest for authors participating in the Festival, creating in Da Nang city before the Opening Day.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition and award ceremony of the 29th South Central and Central Highlands Art Photography Festival will be held on the morning of March 29 at APEC Park, September 2 Street, Da Nang City.

The photo exhibition runs until May 2, 2024.
