This year's Da Nang City Club Petanque Tournament attracted nearly 80 athletes from 11 local clubs, competing in 6 categories: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, men's trios and women's trios.
According to the Organizing Committee, after the competitions, certificates and medals will be awarded to athletes who placed first, second, and third in each category; and first, second, and third place awards will be given to clubs with outstanding achievements.
The tournament is considered a useful playground, helping athletes exchange, compete, improve their skills and competition experience; at the same time contributing to promoting the petanque movement as well as the sports training movement in the city.
Petanque is a sport with simple rules, easy to access, and does not require large investments in fields and equipment.
From a new sport, in recent years, the petanque movement in Da Nang has developed strongly. Many clubs and teams have been established, actively participating in tournaments organized by the city and other sectors, meeting the needs of training, competition and entertainment of the people.
The 2025 Da Nang City Club Petanque Tournament will take place until September 28, at the petanque court next to the Taekwondo training house at the High Performance Sports Training Area, September 2 Street, Hoa Cuong Ward, Da Nang City.
