Free medical examination and medicine in Son Vi border commune

On August 25, Tuyen Quang Department of Health, Phuong Bac General Hospital, Meo Vac Regional Medical Center, Meo Vac Regional General Hospital coordinated with the Party Committee, People's Committee of Son Vi commune, Son Vi Border Guard Station to organize a program to examine, treat, provide health consultation and provide free medicine to people in Son Vi commune.

Leaders of the Department of Health , leaders of Phuong Bac General Hospital and leaders of Son Vi Border Guard Station supervised the free medical examination at Son Vi Commune Health Station.

This time, 50 doctors and nurses from medical units in the province participated in the free medical examination, treatment and medicine provision. Along with that, modern medical equipment such as ultrasound machines, electrocardiogram machines, etc. were mobilized from Phuong Bac General Hospital to examine and treat people.

At the examination point, people are examined by doctors and nurses, and electronic health records are created to detect and screen for acute and chronic diseases; health consultations are provided, and people are educated about hygiene and disease prevention, and basic knowledge about health care for themselves, their families and the community is raised, in order to effectively implement the contents and national health programs on diseases such as tuberculosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other bronchial lung diseases, non-communicable diseases, eye diseases, etc. At each examination area, there are doctors, military medical staff, local medical staff and interpreters to support.

With the motto "Serving the People with all our heart", at the medical examination point, doctors and nurses also organize communication about knowledge of health care, protection, and disease prevention for the people.

Along with the activities of medical examination, treatment and free medicine provision, Phuong Bac General Hospital has given 5 gifts to 5 families in difficult circumstances in Son Vi commune (each gift worth 1 million VND). This is the 3rd group in the implementation of Plan No. 51/KH-SYT, dated July 24, 2025 of the Department of Health on organizing periodic health check-ups for people in Tuyen Quang province. Accordingly, in this period, the group will organize medical examinations and provide free medicine for Son Vi and Dong Van communes.

According to plan, the medical examination program for Son Vi and Dong Van communes (at 7 locations) will take place from August 25 to 29.
