Urgently move power lines out of the clearance area for the National Highway 279 upgrade project.

Power line obstruction has affected the project's construction progress.

Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha assigned the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Transport to request Vietnam Electricity Group and the Northern Power Corporation to urgently relocate power projects within the clearance area of ​​the National Highway 279 traffic safety corridor using funds allocated by the electricity industry as directed by the Prime Minister in Notice 542/TB-VPCP dated December 29, 2023 of the Government Office , to be completed in July 2024.

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee had issued a document (No. 3402/UBND-XD dated June 26, 2024) to the Prime Minister on moving the power line out of the clearance area of ​​the Northern mountainous provinces traffic connection project.

According to the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister according to Notice 542/TB-VPCP dated December 29, 2023, the People's Committee of Lao Cai province and the Ministry of Transport have requested Vietnam Electricity Group and the Northern Power Corporation to urgently relocate power projects within the traffic safety corridor of National Highway 279 under the Northern mountainous provinces traffic connection project managed by the electricity sector.

However, up to now, Vietnam Electricity Group and Northern Power Corporation have only directed the construction of 4.02km of new 0.4kV overhead line, moving 1 35kV/0.4kV transformer station and moving 175 meter boxes. The remaining volume includes 14 35kV pole positions, 5 35/0.4kV transformer stations and 171 0.4kV pole positions. The above shortcomings have affected the project implementation progress (about 15km cannot be constructed yet).
