Khanh Hoa: Preserving and developing the Kate Festival
On the morning of October 21, the Cham people following Brahmanism in Khanh Hoa province were bustling to welcome the Kate Festival 2025. This is an occasion for people to remember gods, kings, ancestors and pray for health and peace.

The Kate Festival 2025 takes place over 3 days (from October 20 to 23) at 3 Cham temples and towers including: Po Klong Garai tower (Do Vinh ward), Po Rome tower and Po Inư Nưgar temple (Phuoc Huu commune).

The ceremony is held at the towers with rituals of carrying costumes, opening the tower doors, bathing the statues, dressing, and grand ceremonies...
After the main festival, activities continue to take place in the village, clan and family of the Cham Brahmin people.
This is an occasion for people to gather and pray for good crops, a peaceful and happy life.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province, congratulated the Cham people on celebrating the Kate Festival with joy and meaning; preserving and continuing to promote the unique values of the festival.
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province, all levels, sectors and localities will continue to accompany and preserve Cham cultural heritage; preserve and develop the Kate Festival in the coming time, commensurate with the scale and value of a national intangible cultural heritage .
