Khanh Hoa requests to re-examine the planning compliance of projects

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just requested the Department of Construction and the Department of Agriculture and Environment to check the planning compliance of projects in the fields of transport, agriculture, forestry, irrigation and fisheries.

This inspection is to avoid overlapping with important national projects being implemented in the area, causing waste of implementation resources (North-South high-speed railway project, Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Project, etc.).

In case the units and localities cannot determine the content of the planning conformity, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requests the Department of Construction and the Department of Agriculture and Environment not to include it in the list of priority investments, and at the same time send a written response to the units and localities.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Construction to review and synthesize infrastructure construction projects for resettlement areas and residential areas in accordance with planning, not overlapping with important national projects being implemented in the area, with clear investment objectives, in line with actual needs, avoiding wasteful and ineffective investment. "In case there is not enough information for consideration, the Department of Construction shall have a written response for the units and localities to know," the Provincial People's Committee requested.

According to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, currently, the projects to build headquarters of commune agencies proposed by the commune level have not been reviewed for conformity with planning, evaluated according to current standards and norms to determine the scale and total investment. Therefore, Khanh Hoa province has no basis to include the projects in the planned public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030. The Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Construction to provide synchronous guidance to the People's Committees of communes and wards on the conformity with planning, standards and norms for building agency headquarters, ensuring compliance with current regulations, avoiding waste.
