Inauguration of the Project to Renovate and Upgrade the Cemetery of Hanoi City Martyrs at Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery

On the afternoon of October 2, in Quang Tri province, Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi City Bui Thi Minh Hoai led the city's Delegation to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Project to Renovate and Upgrade the Hanoi City Martyrs' Cemetery at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery.

Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee: Tran Sy Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Chien Thang and leaders of the provincial departments and branches.

The project to renovate and upgrade the Hanoi Martyrs' Cemetery at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery was implemented by Quang Tri province with a total investment of more than 69 billion VND from the Hanoi city budget.

The project was completed after 6 months of construction. The work included renovating the old Memorial Hall and Memorial House of the Hanoi and Ha Tay cemetery, along with 1,573 martyrs' graves; completing the infrastructure, foundation, and surrounding walls of both cemetery areas.

The newly built part is the Memorial House combined with the ceremony space, along with the stele engraved with the names of the martyrs. The front ceremony yard has been expanded, creating a solemn space for delegations to come and offer incense and pay their respects. The road to the old Ha Tay cemetery has also been widened from 3.5m to 6m, creating favorable conditions for visiting and paying their respects.

The green campus was renovated to connect the two cemeteries of Hanoi and Ha Tay, creating a harmonious and peaceful complex. Along with that, the cemeteries of martyrs of Ha-Nam-Ninh and Binh-Tri-Thien were also renovated.

On the same morning, comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai and the working delegation and leaders of Quang Tri province came to offer flowers and incense at the National Historical Site of Long Dai Ferry Terminal 2 located on Highway 15 - Truong Son Road, now in Truong Ninh Commune, Quang Tri Province.
