Aspiration to build digital farmers, clean agriculture, and a sustainable green environment

HNP - On September 25, Thanh Oai Commune Farmers' Association solemnly held the 1st Congress of the Commune Farmers' Association, term 2025 - 2030. This is an important political event, marking a new development step of the peasant class and the Commune Farmers' Association in the context of the merger of administrative units, Thanh Oai commune entered a new development stage - building a model new countryside, aiming for the goal of being rich, civilized and modern.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Thi Chinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Commune Farmers' Association emphasized: In the past term, with the attention and leadership of the City Farmers' Association and the Commune Party Committee, the support and facilitation of departments, agencies, units, cadres and members, Farmers in the commune promoted the tradition of solidarity, proactive and creative spirit, achieved and exceeded the targets and tasks set for the period 2023-2025. The focus is on implementing breakthroughs to create new and comprehensive changes in all areas of the Association's work and the farmers' movement, contributing to building a commune political system with many innovations; the great national unity bloc has been strengthened, and people's trust in the Party and the government has been consolidated and enhanced.

Special performance to welcome the Congress

In the period of 2023-2025, the Commune Farmers' Association has closely followed the leadership and direction of the superior Association and the Commune Party Committee, promoted the spirit of solidarity and creativity, completed and exceeded the targets set by the Congress Resolution. Notably: Propaganda, political and ideological education for members and farmers have been focused on and promoted. Content and form are associated with digital transformation applications, diverse, rich, bringing practical results. The work of building the Association's organization continues to be consolidated, improved and improved in quality after implementing the arrangement and consolidation according to the 2-level local government model. From 2023 to present, 226 new members have been developed. Every year, 100% of the Association branches complete their tasks well.

Notably, the Commune Farmers' Association has promoted its core central role in emulation movements, accompanying people on the path of transforming crop and livestock structure, applying scientific and technical advances, and producing in concentrated commodity areas to bring sustainable efficiency such as Do Dong commodity rice production area; Kim Bai, Kim An safe vegetable production area and Kim An, Thanh Mai, Kim Thu fruit growing areas... with an average income value of 400-500 million VND/ha. Concentrated livestock farming areas far from residential areas, Kim Thu, Do Dong aquaculture... have an average income value of 300-400 million/ha/year. Up to now, the whole commune has 98 farms, including 04 large-scale livestock models, investing in modern livestock barns; 06 production linkage models, applying high technology, building brands such as Do Dong rice; sugar oranges, Kim An guava; Thanh Mai milk grapes; Thanh Mai vermicelli, glass noodles, dry pho; 01 model of agricultural development, craft villages combined with experiential education, conical hat tourism in Chuong village.

Farmer support activities are organized and implemented in a practical and effective manner, creating motivation to develop models of cooperation, collective economy, cooperatives, and business establishment. In the period of 2023-2025, guiding the establishment of 02 new cooperatives. Up to now, the whole commune has 06 cooperatives operating, developing, and effective. In addition, service, consulting and support activities for members and farmers continue to be promoted. The Association stands as a credit guarantee with the Social Policy Bank with a total outstanding loan of more than 55 billion VND for 856 households borrowing in 23 lending groups. Building, managing, and effectively using more than 8 billion VND of the farmer support fund at all levels, lending to 189 households to implement 20 projects. Thereby, it has encouraged and motivated farmers to rise up, innovate their thinking, dare to think and dare to do, exploit the potential advantages of capital, labor, and land to invest in production, contributing to the development of agricultural economy in the area, helping each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty.

In addition, the Association has coordinated with relevant sectors to organize 30 scientific and technical training sessions for 2,400 officials and farmer members; organized 06 model visits and study sessions; coordinated to organize 04 short-term vocational training courses for nearly 150 farmer members. The number of members who have effective jobs after vocational training reached 100%.

The mobilization and support for building product brands, OCOP and VietGAP products have been focused on and implemented. In particular, 12 training conferences on marketing, business administration, digital transformation, skills to bring agricultural products to e-commerce platforms; skills to design handicraft products; connection, development of linkage chains and consumption of agricultural products have been organized. Up to now, in the commune, there are 25 products of 4 entities recognized as OCCOP products, 1 display point to introduce OCCOP products of Chuong village conical hats.

The Presidium of the Congress

Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, with the slogan of action "Solidarity - Innovation - Cooperation - Development", the Congress determined the goals: promoting the role of farmers as the main subject in agricultural development, building new rural areas; improving the material and spiritual life of members; building a truly strong Association, actively contributing to the construction of a civilized and modern Thanh Oai homeland.

Some specific targets: Recruit 50 or more new members/year; strive to register and develop 2-3 products that meet OCOP standards; register and maintain the implementation of 3-4 clean field models; coordinate to mobilize over 95% of member households and farmers to participate in health insurance, social insurance....

Comrade Bui Hoang Phan, Party Secretary, Chairman of Thanh Oai Commune People's Council, gave a speech directing the Congress.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Bui Hoang Phan, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Commune People's Council, acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements of the Commune Farmers' Association in the past time; at the same time, he requested the Commune Farmers' Association to continue to innovate, strengthen the organization of the Association and build a team of cadres with qualities, capacity and digital skills; promote patriotic emulation movements, replicate production models associated with value chain linkages and craft village tourism; strengthen the application of science and technology, digital transformation, support farmers to consume products through e-commerce platforms; enhance the role of social supervision and criticism, participate in solving pressing issues, maintain security and order and rural environment; at the same time, strengthen coordination with departments, branches and organizations, mobilize the strength of the entire political system to build the commune to develop rapidly and sustainably.

He believes that, with the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Action - Cooperation - Development", Thanh Oai Commune Farmers' Association will continue to promote its core role in developing ecological agriculture, building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, building civilized and modern farmers, contributing with the whole commune to successfully implement the Resolution of the 1st Commune Party Congress, making Thanh Oai increasingly rich, civilized and happy.

The Executive Committee of Thanh Oai Commune Farmers' Association, term I, 2025-2030, was introduced to the Congress

At the Congress, the decisions of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Farmers' Association on the appointment of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Thanh Oai Commune Farmers' Association, term I, 2025-2030, were announced. Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Association consists of 31 comrades, the Standing Committee consists of 9 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Thi Chinh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Commune Farmers' Association; Comrade Luu Ba Ngoc was appointed to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Association.

The Commune Farmers' Association gave farewell gifts to comrades who did not participate in the new Executive Committee.
