When entrepreneurs fuel reading culture

The 2025 Business and Book Week has just ended in Ho Chi Minh City, continuing to prove itself as a powerful “swallow” contributing to hopeful springs in the journey of developing a reading culture. From here, the habit and love of reading are fueled and spread widely throughout the community.

1. Developing a reading culture is the story of the whole society, not just an individual or a certain agency or organization. Therefore, the Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine's organization of the Entrepreneur and Book Week for the past 5 consecutive years is considered an important and necessary participation.

This year, the week continues to honor the “Top 100 books worth having in the corporate bookshelf”. This list is carefully selected by the Business Book Council with many different genres and topics: from economics , management to professional skills, social psychology...

This activity helps businesses more easily choose books that suit the reading needs and work needs of each group in the business.

This year's Business and Book Week also honored "Top 10 good books written by Vietnamese businessmen in 2025" such as: 13 lectures by Professor Tien (Hoang Nam Tien); Conquering the sharks (Ton Nu Xuan Quyen); No one can stop AI (Nguyen Tien Huy); Hello new day (Nguyen Tuan Quynh); Choosing, designing and nurturing customer experience (Nguyen Duy Linh); Vietnamese and world agricultural products (Phan Minh Thong); Multiplying chain stores (Phung Thanh Ngoc); Open thinking (Nguyen Anh Dung); Selecting the right and using it well (Bui Xuan Phong); Managing fluctuations and crises (Le Manh Hung).

It is easy to see that the topics that Vietnamese businessmen write about are very rich and diverse. These are global issues but affect important economic activities, such as: export, market activities, or AI applications in management, building chain stores...

Mr. Le Hoang, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, said: "Written from the feelings and mindset of insiders, these books are therefore close to the issues that Vietnamese businessmen are interested in, suitable for the country's situation and our economic level."

2. In addition to promoting the meaning of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day on October 13, Entrepreneurs and Books Week is also a way to honor books by honoring businesses that have reading culture activities such as establishing bookcases or organizing reading sessions in businesses. These are clearly practical activities that contribute to developing a reading culture among business people and in the business environment; at the same time, helping to bring books closer to this audience, effectively serving the need for reading, thereby serving the development of businesses and entrepreneurs.

When the 2025 Business and Book Week ends, many activities and opportunities continue to open up. The representative of the organizing committee said that after honoring the "Top 100 books worth having in the business bookshelf", "Top 10 good books written by Vietnamese businessmen in 2025" or businesses with good reading culture activities, Saigon Business Magazine will organize a program connecting businesses with universities to build bookcases in the business and educational environment.

“Choosing books by Vietnamese businessmen to teach students is a way to show national pride, and also to convey familiar lessons to Vietnamese students,” said Mr. Tran Hoang, Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine.

According to Mr. Le Hoang, another opportunity is also opened for publishing units: Publishing units - those whose books are in the top 100 or top 10, will use this result to promote and introduce books to businesses, so that businesses, through this connection, can order books, equip books and organize book reading in the business environment and among business people. Through 5 years of practice, it has been shown that many businesses have found it much easier to choose books to equip their bookshelves through this activity.

“The Entrepreneur and Book Week does not only stop at the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street but also spreads to businesses so that leaders can read and create conditions for their workers and businesses to expand their intelligence and knowledge. Thus, entrepreneurs not only focus on the mission of getting rich but also improve and enrich the knowledge of workers in particular and the people in general,” emphasized Mr. Le Van Minh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
