New fee tourists must pay when visiting islands in Nha Trang

(Dan Tri) - From September 25, Khanh Hoa province officially collected fees for visiting islands in Nha Trang Bay, at a rate of 6,000-40,000 VND/person/trip.

The above information was confirmed by Mr. Dam Hai Van, Director of Nha Trang Bay Management Board ( Khanh Hoa province) on the afternoon of September 23.

The selected locations for toll collection include: Nha Trang Tourist Wharf, Phu Quy Inland Waterway Wharf, Institute of Oceanography Inland Waterway Wharf, Ana Marina International Yacht Marina Park (located in wards in Nha Trang).

Local authorities offer entrance fees (not including accident insurance) ranging from VND6,000 to VND40,000 per person per visit.

Specifically, going to Hon Mieu Island (Tri Nguyen) costs 6,000 VND; Hon Tam Island, Hon Tre Island (Vinpearl), Hon Mot Island all cost 8,000 VND; Hon Mun Island costs 10,000 VND; going to all 5 islands mentioned above costs 40,000 VND/person/trip.

Free admission is available to children under 6 years old, people with revolutionary contributions, people with social policies, people 60 years of age or older, citizens residing in Khanh Hoa, and some other groups.

Children from 6 to under 16 years old, students and poor households receive a 50% discount.

Previously, the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province passed a resolution regulating the fee levels, collection, payment, management and use of fees for visiting Nha Trang Bay scenic spots.

The resolution also stipulates that the toll collection agency is allowed to keep 80% of the total amount to spend on the unit's operations and pay the remaining 20% ​​to the state budget.
