Construction of Thien Quang Lake renovation started, waiting for 5 connection points to open

TPO - Late in the evening of April 3, the project to synchronize the landscape around Thien Quang Lake officially started construction.

The project is invested by the Hai Ba Trung District Construction Investment Project Management Board. With the goal of completing the first phase of investment in Project No. 11-DA/QU dated July 13, 2021 of the HBT District Party Committee on "Organizing pedestrian-cultural street space in Tran Nhan Tong street and vicinity, flower garden, walking path around Thien Quang lake associated with promoting the value of the relic cluster of Quang Hoa, Thien Quang, Phap Hoa pagodas.

The scope of the project is the entire sidewalk and walking paths in the flower gardens surrounding Thien Quang Lake (from the edge of the lake embankment to the edge of the sidewalk).

Once completed, the project will connect the flower garden area, the walking path around Thien Quang Lake, and the northern axis of Thong Nhat Park into a complete walking space, complementing each other's functions, promoting the value of urban green spaces, and improving the quality of life for people.

Project perspective after completion of renovation

Promoting the cultural and historical space value of Thien Quang Lake relics, the relic cluster of Quang Hoa, Thien Quang, Phap Hoa pagodas, Hanoi Youth Palace, and the Central Circus.

The project location is at Thien Quang Lake under the management of Nguyen Du Ward. North: Adjacent to Nguyen Du Street; East: Adjacent to Quang Trung Street; South: Adjacent to Tran Nhan Tong Street; West: Adjacent to Tran Binh Trong Street.

Previously, Hai Ba Trung district had collected public opinions on the Urban Design project for the area around Thien Quang lake, scale 1/500. The land area for urban design research is 11.7 hectares wide, located in two wards Nguyen Du and Le Dai Hanh, bordering Nguyen Du street to the north, Tran Binh Trong street to the west, Quang Trung street to the east and Tran Nhan Tong street to the south.

In the project, the consulting unit proposed an urban design with 13 areas, including 5 open points.

It is expected that after renovating and beautifying Thien Quang Lake, it will connect with the design project of 5 open points that have been consulted with the people.
