According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, during the period from September 21 to October 20, 2025, the average temperature nationwide is forecast to be 0.5-1°C higher than the average of many years. This shows a prolonged warming trend, especially in the context of increasing climate change instability.
Regarding rainfall, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa- Ha Tinh are forecast to have rainfall 15-30% higher than the average of many years, while other regions will have levels 10-20% higher.

During this period, there is a possibility of 2-3 storms or tropical depressions appearing in the East Sea, of which 1-2 are expected to directly affect the Vietnamese mainland. At the same time, the first cold air of the season will begin to appear from the end of the month, but with weak and unstable intensity, and the cold is not deep.
Widespread heavy rain is forecast to appear strongly in the early part of this period, concentrated in the North and Thanh Hoa, possibly spreading to provinces from Nghe An to northern Khanh Hoa ..
