Prosecution of the director of the district management board in Quang Nam for the loss of more than 12 billion VND

On November 3, according to news from the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Province Police, the unit has just prosecuted two suspects related to violations that occurred at the Nam Giang District Administrative Center Road project.

Specifically, prosecuted and ordered Thai Minh Hoang (Director of Nam Giang District Project Management Board) to be banned from leaving his place of residence for the crime of "Violating regulations on management and use of state assets, causing loss and waste".

Prosecution and temporary detention order against Pham Ba Linh (Hoang Thong Construction Joint Stock Company) for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

The Police Investigation Agency determined that in 2016, Mr. Thai Minh Hoang was the Director of the Project Management Board of Nam Giang district.

At that time, Mr. Hoang signed a contract with Hoang Thong Construction Joint Stock Company, directed by Mr. Pham Ba Linh, to construct the Nam Giang District Administrative Center Road Project.

During the contract implementation process, Hoang Thong Company advanced over 12 billion VND but did not use it to construct the project as committed, but appropriated it for personal use.

Previously, on October 21, the Provincial Police Department issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case of "Violating regulations on management and use of state assets causing loss and waste", "Fraudulent appropriation of property" related to the Nam Giang district administrative center road project.
