No need for mobile waves or wifi, Xiaomi smartphones can still communicate

Besides the two flagship Xiaomi 17 lines, the Chinese electronics company also launched a new mid-range smartphone duo, Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro, in the Vietnamese market.

These two smartphone lines are equipped with 6.83-inch AMOLED screens, 1.5K resolution (2,772 x 1,280 pixels). The biggest highlight of this duo is the camera system in cooperation with Leica, using VARIO-SUMMILUX lenses.

The Xiaomi 15T Series' offline voice calling feature that helps keep in touch within a range of nearly 2 km is said to be very useful.

However, another special feature that comes with these two models is Xiaomi Astral Communication with Offline Communication capability, allowing the device to communicate directly without the need for mobile waves or WiFi.

On the Xiaomi 15T, the communication range is limited to 1.3km and increases to 1.9km on the 15T Pro version.

With this feature, users can call each other directly without the need for mobile waves or Wi-Fi. This is considered a step forward to change the way of daily connection.

To use both phones, you need to insert a SIM card and log in to your Xiaomi account. You then need to enable offline communication in the phone's settings menu.

Luke Baker, a technology journalist working for Tech Advisor, said that this feature may soon appear on other Xiaomi smartphones. The earliest it could be is the Xiaomi 17 series, which will also be launched at the same time.

The Xiaomi 15T has a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor, while the Pro version uses a more advanced Light Fusion 900 sensor. Both have a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50MP telephoto camera, with the 15T Pro supporting 5x optical zoom (115mm).

Both have a 5,500 mAh battery capacity. The Xiaomi 15T supports 67W fast charging (full charge in 50 minutes), while the 15T Pro has 90W HyperCharge fast charging (full charge in 36 minutes) and 50W wireless charging (56 minutes).

The price of Xiaomi 15T with 12 GB RAM/256 GB ROM version is 13.99 million VND, the 12 GB RAM/512 GB ROM version is 14.99 million VND.

For Xiaomi 15T Pro, the 12 GB RAM/256 GB ROM version is listed at 18.49 million VND, the 12 GB RAM/512 GB ROM version is 19.49 million VND, the 12 GB RAM/1 TB ROM version is 20.49 million VND.
