Do not let the construction unit wait for the site when implementing the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway.

On July 8, speaking at the meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of investment in the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway, Hon Khoai Port and the road connecting to Hon Khoai Island, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Pham Thanh Ngai emphasized: The implementation of the construction of the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway is an extremely important political task of the province and must be given top priority.

Local authorities held a meeting with people to deploy project information and site clearance work for the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway.

Departments, branches and localities must make every effort to focus on finding solutions to overcome difficulties in the process of project implementation. Especially in site clearance, we must be determined not to let the construction unit wait for the site, we must set the highest goals and have the highest political determination to complete the project on schedule.

In that spirit, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Pham Thanh Ngai requested that when implementing the project, it is necessary to ensure the harmony of people's interests, to optimize the resolution of related issues, especially the land compensation price must be clear, public, transparent, and consistent among the routes on the same project. In addition, it is necessary to step up propaganda work, promote the role of commune-level authorities, mobilize people affected by the project to comply with policies and guidelines and agree on the policy of land recovery earlier than the prescribed time.

According to Resolution No. 24/NQ-HDND dated June 2, 2025 of the People's Council of Ca Mau province, the scale of land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement is about 562 hectares. Of which, production forest land is 90 hectares, protective forest land is nearly 44 hectares, annual crop land is 348 hectares... The total investment for the land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement project is about 2,028 billion VND, using state budget capital, of which the central budget supports about 50% of the total project investment, the remaining balance is arranged from the local budget.

The Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway is 90km long, has 4 lanes, and is scheduled for investment before 2030. The Prime Minister has directed the investment in the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway according to the emergency process, and the project must start on August 19, 2025.
