The papers and speeches further clarified the historical value, scientific significance and stature of the event, provided directions for preserving and promoting the relic in contemporary life, and proposed a scientific basis for preparing a dossier to rank the relic site as a national relic.
Touching story about the Shrine of the Virgin's Soul

Writer Tram Huong, who wrote the script and commentary for the film, said that during a business trip, she was told by her mothers about the Virgin Soul Temple, where 32 frontline workers sacrificed their lives at a very young age. The story moved her so much that she and TFS Film Studio went to the place to learn more and make the film White Nights of Vinh Loc .
"The broadcast of the film received the attention of many people. The shrine of the virgin soul was restored four times and is now called the Vinh Loc Mau Than 1968 Fire Front Relic Site, built in a spacious manner," she said.
Not only the White Night of Vinh Loc , at the workshop, witnesses who were former leaders of Vinh Loc commune and relatives of the workers recounted the stories they saw and heard with emotion and admiration.
Deserving to become a national monument
Ms. Le Tu Cam, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Heritage Association, affirmed that the Vinh Loc Mau Than 1968 Fire Line Volunteer Relic Site deserves to be ranked as a national historical relic.
"When it became a national monument, this place was invested in and upgraded to its full potential.
"Not only a memorial house, but also a relic exhibition house with a new display method, not only listing events but creating a lively space connecting the heroic past and the contemplative present to continue writing the story of peace on that painful land," she affirmed.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoai Huong, Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies, said: "The sacrifice of 32 laborers, most of whom were young women, demonstrated the decisive role of the masses in ensuring logistics for the large-scale campaign in Saigon - Gia Dinh.
With the outstanding feature of being the "last logistic link" between the suburban base and the inner-city battlefield, Vinh Loc relic adds an indispensable piece to the comprehensive picture of Mau Than 1968. Compared to relics of the same period such as Cu Chi Tunnels and Sac Forest, Vinh Loc has the meaning of being the place where the rear supports the front line.

Therefore, according to her, the proposal to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recognize the Vinh Loc Fire Brigade Relic Site as a National Historical Relic is completely worthy. This is both a tribute to the past and a foundation to promote the value of heritage in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today.
Major General Pham Van Ram concluded: "The Vinh Loc frontline laborers relic site will forever be a shining torch in the history of the nation's revolutionary struggle, an immortal testament to the will, courage and sacrifice of our people."
The historical site of Vinh Loc frontline laborers in Mau Than 1968 is located in Vinh Loc A commune, Binh Chanh district (old), Ho Chi Minh City.
This is the place that marked the event on the night of June 15, 1968, when 32 out of 55 (including 25 women and 7 men) frontline militia soldiers on duty died under the enemy's rocket fire.
The relic site was recognized as a city-level historical relic in 2005.
