On the afternoon of September 26, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Hanoi People's Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to hold a press conference to inform about the organization of the World Cultural Festival in Hanoi, held for the first time in Vietnam.
Tung Duong and Truc Nhan performed at the opening ceremony of the Hanoi World Cultural Festival.
Accordingly, the World Cultural Festival in Hanoi takes place from October 3 to 5 at the Central Relic Site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi, with cultures from 5 continents converging, introducing the cultural quintessence of their nations.
The festival is attended by 48 embassies, international organizations, foreign cultural centers in Vietnam, with 45 national cultural spaces, 33 food stalls, 16 international art troupes from within and outside the country, 12 units participating in book introductions, 20 countries sending films.
Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said the opening ceremony will have a brief ceremony, leaving time for the "festival" part, with performances by international art troupes and professional Vietnamese actors.
Vietnamese artists performing at the opening ceremony included Tung Duong, Hoa Minzy, Truc Nhan, Hoang Thuy Linh... However, Mr. Le Hai Binh said the opening ceremony was organized with the spirit of honoring the culture of international friends.
Towards an annual organization, a brand of the capital
Answering Tuoi Tre Online 's question about what Vietnam will show off to international friends at this festival, Mr. Le Hai Binh said that as the host country, the organizing committee struggled to choose the country's cultural quintessence to introduce.
The exhibition of national achievements celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd recently introduced "almost all the beauty of the country's culture and achievements".
This time, the organizing committee assigned Hanoi to represent in preparing some unique cultural features, the soul of the national culture, the soul of the capital to introduce at the festival. Due to the urgent preparation time of the first time, the countries have not been able to send large art troupes to perform.
After the first time, the organizers aim to organize this festival as an annual international cultural event in Hanoi, as a brand of the capital Hanoi, of Vietnamese culture.
