On the evening of September 14, the final round of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 took place at Phu Tho Stadium (District 11, Ho Chi Minh City) with the competition of 29 contestants. As a result, Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen (born 1996, Nam Dinh ) was officially named for the highest position. The new beauty queen received a crown worth 24 million VND, becoming the representative of Vietnam to compete in Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico next November.
Before registering for Miss Universe Vietnam, Ky Duyen was crowned Miss Vietnam 2014. After more than 10 years in the entertainment industry, the Nam Dinh-born beauty has extensive experience, having served as a judge and coach in many beauty and modeling contests.
Ky Duyen's decision to participate in Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 was supported by many audiences. Most audiences expected her to become the beauty queen of this year's contest. However, during the process of participating in the challenges, Ky Duyen repeatedly disappointed the audience when she lost her form compared to other contestants. Ky Duyen herself admitted that the expectations and support of the audience put her under great pressure in the program. The beauty replied: “A girl’s beauty cannot represent the whole country, but her story can inspire everyone. My story is about daring to realize my dream in two beauty pageants. Dare to dream of each individual is the premise and foundation for Vietnam to develop more and more.”
The first runner-up position belongs to Nguyen Quynh Anh (born 1999, Hanoi ). She is 1.7m tall, with measurements of 82-63-93 cm. The beauty is known for being the runner-up of The Face Vietnam 2018 and the champion of Asia's Supermodel. Throughout the competition, Nguyen Quynh Anh was considered a contestant who maintained a stable performance through the competitions thanks to her fluent presentation ability and good catwalk skills.
The beauty named as the 2nd runner-up is Vu Thuy Quynh (born 1998, Dien Bien ). She is 1.74 m tall, with measurements of 84-63-94 cm. The beauty from Dien Bien was in the top 10 of Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, runner-up of The New Mentor 2023, and top 5 of Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2024. In the final night, Vu Thuy Quynh won over the audience with her convincing performance and stage-mastering skills.

The night opened with the top 29 contestants calling out their names and introducing their hometowns. In this round, the beauties were divided into 3 groups and took turns walking onto the stage. The contestants wore long-sleeved short dresses and confidently shouted out their hometowns on stage.
After the name calling, the Organizing Committee announced the top 16 contestants including: Nguyen Quynh Anh, Nguyen Diem My, Nguyen Thi Tra My, Luong Thi Hoa Dan, Le Thi Kim Huyen, Phi Phuong Anh, Nguyen Thu Thao, Quach Tapiau Maily, Dinh Thi Trieu Tien, Doan Tuong Linh, Vu Thuy Quynh, Pham Thi Dan Chi, Do Thu Ha, Doan Thi Thu Ha, Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, Noemie Paris Bao Nhi.
Contrary to the original plan, the Organizing Committee of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 unexpectedly replaced the bikini performance with an ao dai performance. In this competition, the top 16 brought graceful and gentle images in ao dai designed by Linh San. However, most of the designs were innovated in the sleeves and collar.

The evening gown competition opened with the performance "Wonderful Moment" by the three divas Thanh Lam, My Linh, and Ha Tran.
In the evening gown competition, the top 10 contestants mostly chose tight-fitting, beaded outfits. The beauties received many compliments on their beauty as well as performance skills.
After the performance, the Organizing Committee announced the top 5 contestants including: Nóemie Paris Bảo Nhi, Vũ Thúy Quỳnh, Nguyễn Cao Kỳ Duyên, Nguyễn Quỳnh Anh, and Quách Tapiau Maily.
The top 5 contestants then took part in a social-themed performance. Here, the beauties had 45 seconds to answer questions and present arguments to convince the judges.
The final night had quiet moments with the final walk of Miss Bui Quynh Hoa. Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 sent her gratitude to those who accompanied her throughout her term.
