At the Conference, based on the inspection results and the results of the implementation of the review and disciplinary process for party members under its authority, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Executive Committee discussed and found that: During his time as Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, and account holder of the agency (from November 2020 to 2023), comrade Nguyen Dinh Tien was responsible as the head for the shortcomings and violations of the Department's Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and was directly and personally responsible for the shortcomings and violations in the management and use of funding sources at the Department of Home Affairs and the Provincial Religious Committee.
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Tien's violations have negatively affected the reputation of himself and the Party organization, agency and unit where he lives and works, to the point that disciplinary action must be considered.
Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and cause of the violation; according to the Party's Regulations on discipline of party organizations and party members who violate the law, the Provincial Party Executive Committee decided to discipline comrade Nguyen Dinh Tien with a reprimand.
Previously, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee inspected signs of violations based on the conclusion of the Gia Lai Provincial Inspectorate on the management and use of funding sources at the Gia Lai Department of Home Affairs, in which violations of more than 10.8 billion VND were discovered.
In particular, the Provincial Religious Committee (under the Gia Lai Department of Home Affairs) used the budget allocated for religious work to set up expenditures that were not included in State regulations. The total amount of illegal expenditures at this unit from 2015 to 2023 was over 8.3 billion VND.
