Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Thanh Nien Newspaper Representative Office in the South Central and Southern Central Highlands regions

On the afternoon of November 1, in Nha Trang city, the Party Committee and Editorial Board of Thanh Nien Newspaper held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Representative Office of the South Central and Southern Central Highlands regions (November 2004 - November 2024).

At the celebration, journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, recalled the tradition: On October 29, 2004, the Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper signed a decision to establish the Representative Office of Thanh Nien Newspaper in the South Central and Southern Central Highlands regions, effective from November 1, 2004, headquartered in Nha Trang; the scope of operation includes 4 provinces: Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan , Dak Lak, Dak Nong; at the end of 2010, it was in charge of Lam Dong province.

Since its establishment, the Thanh Nien Newspaper Representative Office in the South Central and Southern Central Highlands regions has strived to closely follow the current situation in the area; promptly reflect the socio -economic development situation in the localities; convey to domestic and foreign readers the economic, cultural and social achievements of the localities; introduce effective business models, good people and good deeds; at the same time frankly criticize the bad and negative aspects in a constructive spirit, contributing to the health of social life in general.

In addition, the office has received billions of dong from readers to help people affected by natural disasters; support poor families; and work with sponsors to build charity houses in Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak .

Every year, the Office organizes programs to help people and students in remote areas in the provinces such as: Free eye surgery for poor blind people, warm winter clothes for poor students, health insurance cards for the poor; scholarships for poor students who overcome difficulties...

In particular, the Exam Season Consulting programs and the Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament in the region always receive the enthusiastic participation of students and parents.

At the celebration, Thanh Nien Newspaper presented scholarships to children of agents and post offices that distribute the newspaper, who are in difficult circumstances and have overcome difficulties, to encourage their learning spirit, each worth 2 million VND.

In a series of activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its establishment, the Representative Office of the South Central and Southern Highlands regions successfully organized the "Youth and Friends Pickleball Tournament", calling for more than 100 million VND to support the program "Continuing life with children" of Thanh Nien Newspaper.
