Strengthening forecast and warning of storm Bualoi impacting the Central region

ĐNO - The Central Hydrometeorological Station has just issued a document requesting its affiliated units to strengthen monitoring, forecasting and warning of storm Bualoi to ensure the tasks of observation, measurement and forecasting to serve localities well in responding to and preventing the storm's impacts.

According to the station's assessment, from September 27 to 29, the sea and mainland of the provinces and cities in the Central region are likely to be affected by the circulation of storm Bualoi, and the provinces and cities from Nghe An to Da Nang are likely to experience moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with very heavy rain in some places.

The Central Hydrometeorological Station requests the Hydrometeorological Forecasting Department and the Hydrometeorological Stations of provinces and cities to closely monitor and forecast all developments of storm Bualoi, regularly provide information on the storm's developments and accompanying natural disasters including: heavy rain, floods, flash floods, landslides, rockfalls, inundation, thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, strong winds, big waves... and impacts caused by natural disasters.

At the same time, fully implement the forecast and warning bulletins of dangerous weather according to regulations to serve the direction of natural disaster response; coordinate with localities to grasp information on the situation of key projects, aquaculture areas, seaports; and areas in the northern East Sea to warn of the scope of influence and impacts of storms on ships.

Along with that, timely provide detailed forecast and warning information for sensitive areas, civil works, socio-economics , and affected areas in the province to civil defense command committees of provinces and cities to serve the work of directing, operating, preventing, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Provincial and municipal hydrometeorological stations direct local hydrometeorological stations to deploy monitoring plans; ensure complete and accurate data collection and timely transmission of information in all situations to serve well the work of forecasting heavy rain, risks of floods, inundation, flash floods, landslides, thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, etc.
