On October 30, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong presented the decision to appoint People's Artist Xuan Bac - Director of Vietnam Drama Theater as Director of the Department of Performing Arts.

Many audiences, colleagues and friends congratulated People's Artist Xuan Bac on his new role. However, many people were also worried and regretful that in his new position, People's Artist Xuan Bac would be busy with management work and would not be able to appear on air or participate in stage plays or programs.

In response to the concerns of many audiences, People's Artist Xuan Bac - Director of the Department of Performing Arts spoke up.

On People's Artist Xuan Bac's personal page, a fan asked the male artist: "Will you still do comedy like this?" . People's Artist Xuan Bac immediately replied: " From now until Tet, there are many programs that have been prepared in advance, dear!".

Another audience member commented: " So from now on, you will rarely appear on air to play comedy roles." Responding to this person, People's Artist Xuan Bac affirmed that he not only plays comedy roles but also plays both main and tragic roles on stage. The Director of the Performing Arts Department happily replied: " You are joking/It's not just that/On stage, I perform both "main" and "tragic" roles/If you doubt it, come and see it and you will know."

People's Artist Xuan Bac is a familiar face of the Northern stage. He graduated from the Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema. The male artist started his acting career in 1995 and participated in many films such as: Dong Loc Crossroads, Moc's Story, Rustling Countryside... Among them, the role of Nui in the film Song O Day Song helped his name be recognized by the public and experts.

The male artist also participated in many TV shows such as: Year-end Meeting, Laughter Gala, Weekend Relaxation, Dad, Where Are We Going?... He was also invited by many units to be a judge for the shows: SV 2016, SV 2000, Familiar Faces Kids...

People's Artist Xuan Bac is a familiar and beloved face on stage as well as on television programs.

Xuan Bac’s mark in the hearts of television audiences is not only the role of Mountain of Waves on the Riverbed but also the character Nam Tao in VTV’s Tao Quan. Xuan Bac’s charming, witty and flexible acting has created the image of Nam Tao that is both humorous and profound but still very close and rustic.

This role helped bring Xuan Bac's name closer to the general audience. Xuan Bac was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2016. He was awarded the title of People's Artist in 2023.

In addition to activities related to the acting field, MC, People's Artist Xuan Bac is also very active in community programs, projects and group activities.

He was awarded the Outstanding Young Face of the Capital in 2009. In November 2010, Xuan Bac was chosen as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for clean water and environmental sanitation.

Since August 1, 2018, Xuan Bac has been a member of the Central Council of the 8th term of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union according to Decision No. 287 - QD/TWĐTN-CTTN of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union . In December 2019, Xuan Bac was elected Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union, 8th term. In August 2024, People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac was elected Honorary President of the Hanoi Young Artists Association.
