At group 42, ward 2, Bao Loc, the looms that were once forgotten are now set up in the middle of the stilt house, where light shines on each thread of fabric. The 20 members of the Brocade Weaving Group are still persistent every day, the adults are dedicated to teaching, the young people are diligently learning each pattern. For more than 2 years, the traditional stilt house has not only been a community living space but also a traditional craft space, introducing products to domestic and foreign tourists. From being at risk of being lost, thanks to the capital and support of the culture, sports and tourism sector, the Brocade Weaving Group has now become a testament to the effort to restore culture in an appropriate way, and at the same time a resource to support community development.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , the project on Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development (called Project 6), under the National Target Program for the period 2021 - 2025, has contributed to restoring, preserving and promoting traditional culture associated with tourism. Thereby helping to stabilize the lives of people and creating opportunities for local socio-economic development.

The unit has implemented many activities to preserve and promote intangible cultural heritage: re-enacting the Nho Phu Festival (praying for harvest), Nho Dong Festival (praying for rain) in Dam Rong 4 commune; building 3 traditional cultural models of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development; publishing 3 publications on ethnic cultures. At the same time, supporting research, restoration and promotion of intangible cultural values ​​​​at risk of being lost such as folk songs, folk dances, traditional weaving and pottery.

In the old Dak Nong and Binh Thuan areas, Project 6 has provided funding to prevent the degradation of historical relics associated with the M'nong people's struggle against French colonialism led by N'Trang Long; restored and embellished Cham cultural relics; preserved and promoted typical traditional festivals of ethnic minorities associated with the exploitation and development of tourism products. The project also organized classes to teach pottery making techniques, folk songs, folk dances, folk music, weaving and traditional musical instruments of the Cham and K'ho people. At the same time, it supported the propaganda and promotion of typical cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities, combined with tourism promotion, potential surveys and selection of typical products for each region.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, Project 6 has widely promoted the typical traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic groups. Thanks to the funding from the National Target Program, the project has brought about clear results, positively impacted social life, promoted socio-economic development, strengthened the great national unity bloc, and contributed to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the locality.

The project also contributes to raising awareness and pride in the cultural identity of ethnic minorities, encouraging the community to preserve, promote and spread traditional values ​​in modern life. Currently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with localities to continue implementing traditional cultural activities, restoring festivals associated with tourism development, widely promoting ethnic heritage. Thereby building and replicating effective models, linking conservation with tourism development, contributing to socio-economic development and creating a stable source of income for people.
