A new wind creates momentum for the private economy

The country and locality are rich and strong when the business community develops and the people are rich and strong. With a contribution of about 50% of GDP, more than 30% of total state budget revenue and employing about 82% of the total labor force, the private economy plays an important role in the economic development of the country in general and Quang Ninh in particular. Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development is truly like a new wind blowing up the spirit of enthusiasm, dedication, promoting the development of this important economic sector.

Identifying the importance of the private economy, private enterprises, and cooperatives, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW with the consistent guiding view that the private economy is the most important driving force of the national economy, the pioneering force promoting growth, creating jobs, improving labor productivity, enhancing national competitiveness, industrialization, and modernization.

Currently, the private economic sector has about 940,000 enterprises and more than 5 million business households in operation, contributing about 50% of GDP, more than 30% of total state budget revenue and employing about 82% of the total workforce; it is an important force promoting innovation, improving labor productivity, and increasing national competitiveness.

From the impetus of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW, a new wind has blown into enterprises, business households, and cooperatives, creating a new impulse and new momentum for the private economy. According to the latest report of the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance), in August 2025, the whole country had 20.5 thousand newly established enterprises with a registered capital of 326.1 trillion VND and a registered number of employees of 106.9 thousand, an increase of 23.9% in the number of enterprises, nearly 2.8 times in registered capital and 35.4% in the number of employees compared to July. Compared to the same period last year, the number of enterprises increased by 52.9%, more than 2.6 times in registered capital and 49.0% in the number of employees. The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in the month reached 15.9 billion VND, more than 2.2 times higher than the previous month and up 71.2% over the same period last year. In addition, the whole country also had 12.4 thousand enterprises returning to operation, up 46.4% over the same period in 2024.

In the first 8 months, the whole country had 128,200 newly registered enterprises with a total registered capital of 1,254.5 trillion VND and a total registered number of employees of nearly 777,000, an increase of 15.7% in the number of enterprises, 26.1% in registered capital and 15.5% in the number of employees compared to the same period last year. The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in the first 8 months of 2025 reached 9.8 billion VND, an increase of 9% compared to the same period in 2024. In addition, the whole country had 81,100 enterprises returning to operation, an increase of 41.4% compared to the same period in 2024.

In Quang Ninh, in August 2025, there were 347 newly registered enterprises in the province, an increase of 105.3% over the same period; registered capital reached 2,729 billion VND, an increase of 162.4% over the same period; 59 enterprises registered to resume operations. In the first 8 months, the whole province had 1,568 newly established enterprises with registered capital reaching 12,640 billion VND; 581 enterprises registered to resume operations. Thus, as of August 20, 2025, there were 11,840 enterprises in operation in the province, declaring taxes, with a total registered capital of 405,535 billion VND.

In recent times, along with the whole country, Quang Ninh has created the most favorable conditions, accompanied in removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses, investors, especially private enterprises. Quang Ninh requires departments, branches, sectors and localities to continue to create favorable conditions for businesses to access land, especially land funds in industrial parks and clusters and areas recovered from suspended and slow-progressing projects. In addition, there are plans for private enterprises to access credit sources, diversify forms of support, encourage the application of science and technology in production and business; promote administrative reform, train human resources, support business households to transform into enterprises.

With the spirit that the success of enterprises and investors is also the success of Quang Ninh, the development of enterprises is also the development of Quang Ninh, the province has listened and continued to listen, support to remove difficulties and obstacles, create a favorable investment and business environment for enterprises and investors, especially private enterprises to develop rapidly in the coming time, thereby contributing to the overall growth of the province.
