Nghe An Provincial Leaders Inspect Basic Infrastructure Project for Comprehensive Development of 4 North Central Provinces

The sub-project belongs to the Infrastructure Project for Comprehensive Development in Nghe An, invested by the Department of Finance. The project consists of 3 components, aiming to complete and connect traffic infrastructure; support production and business development with a total investment of 53.75 million USD, equivalent to nearly 1,200 billion VND.

In Nghe An, the project includes 9 construction packages, of which 5 projects have been completed and put into use; 2 projects have completed about 70% of the work; 1 project has completed about 20% of the work and 1 project has just started construction. In 2025, nearly 300 billion VND of capital has been allocated to the project's projects, and so far the disbursement has reached nearly 31%.

The delegation inspected the main road project from National Highway 46 to the center of Hung My commune, Hung Nguyen district. Up to now, more than 2km of the section through Hung Nguyen district has handed over about 1,840m of land. The locality proposed to cut the remaining length due to the inability to clear the land. The remaining 1km section through Hung Chinh commune, Vinh city proposed to stop investing due to overlapping and not being in accordance with the planning. Currently, the construction unit has deployed 75% of the total project volume.

Based on the actual inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien acknowledged the efforts of the investor, contractors and construction units; however, the proposals of the investor as well as the two localities of Hung Nguyen and Vinh City will have to be reconsidered.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that, in the immediate future, it is necessary to focus on completing the connection and installing traffic lights at the intersection between the project and Vinh bypass; installing traffic signs as well as connecting at technical stops to ensure traffic safety.

In Nam Dan district, the delegation visited the road construction site from Van Dien commune to Nam Nghia commune. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August this year.

Also this morning, the delegation inspected the site of the project to upgrade the inter-commune road from Thanh Son, Anh Son district to Thach Ngan commune, Con Cuong district, with a total length of more than 20km. Basically, the land clearance part has been focused on by the 2 districts, of which 2km through Anh Son will be paid to the people this week, and the remaining 18km through Con Cuong area is nearly completed. Contractors are implementing construction in areas where the cleared land has been handed over.

According to the plan, by September 2025, the basic sub-projects must be completed, so Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien requested the construction units to take advantage of favorable weather, mobilize maximum machinery and vehicles, and increase construction forces to speed up progress.

Localities need to focus on resolving some problems and promptly handing over clean sites to investors and contractors. Units must also meet and review progress to meet the province's directives./.
