On the occasion of India's successful launch of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft to the Moon, President Vo Van Thuong sent a congratulatory message to President Droupadi Murmu; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi; National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sent a congratulatory message to Senate Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and House Speaker Om Birla.
On this occasion, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory message to Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
According to Indian officials, at 7:34 p.m. on August 23 (Hanoi time), the Vikram lander of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft successfully landed in the area near the South Pole of the Moon. The success of Chandrayaan-3 made India the fourth country in the world to land on the surface of the Moon, after the Soviet Union, the United States and China. The mission also marked the emergence of India as a new space power.
