From February 11-14 (January 14-17, At Ty year), Luc Na communal house festival will be held at Luc Na communal house (Ban Cau village, Luc Hon commune, Binh Lieu district) with many unique cultural, artistic and sports activities.
Luc Na Communal House was built during the Later Le Dynasty. The Communal House worships the village's tutelary god Hoang Can, a heroic general who prevented the invasion from the North, protected the village, and protected the country. The Luc Na Communal House Festival is held annually as an opportunity for the people of Binh Lieu to pay tribute to the merits of the village's tutelary god Hoang Can and to thank the mountain gods, river gods, and local gods.
This year, Luc Na communal house festival is organized according to traditional festival rituals including the ceremony and the festival. The ceremony includes the royal decree procession, the worshiping ceremony, and the traditional farewell ceremony. The festival includes many unique cultural, artistic, and sports activities taking place at Luc Na communal house yard such as: Then singing - Tinh lute festival of Binh Lieu district; Then singing - Tinh lute exchange between Binh Lieu district and the Association for Preservation of Ethnic Folk Songs of Lang Son and Cao Bang provinces; Open traditional martial arts tournament of Binh Lieu district (February 12-13); nightingale fighting, red-whiskered bulbul singing competition. Along with that, there are traditional sports competitions (stick pushing, throwing cone, tug of war, crossbow shooting) and folk games (sack jumping, grave digging, stilt walking, etc.). In addition, Luc Na Communal House Cup Football Tournament will take place from February 8-14 at Luc Hon commune stadium.
During the festival days, there will be booths selling OCOP products from Binh Lieu and other localities of the province.
Luc Na Communal House Festival is held annually to honor and preserve the cultural heritage of the ethnic groups in Binh Lieu district; at the same time, serving the needs of cultural enjoyment, improving the spiritual and cultural life of the people; contributing to building a healthy and progressive cultural environment. This is also an opportunity for Binh Lieu district to continue promoting, introducing, and spreading the image and beauty of the land and culture of the locality to tourists from all over the world, promoting tourism development in particular and the socio -economic development of the district in general.
