What's new in Vietnam team?
In this training session, coach Kim Sang-sik called back goalkeeper Dang Van Lam and gave opportunities to a series of U.23 players such as Tran Trung Kien, Khuat Van Khang, Nguyen Hieu Minh, Nguyen Xuan Bac, Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Nguyen Phi Hoang, Nguyen Dinh Bac and Nguyen Nhat Minh.
These players contributed greatly to the achievement of winning the 2025 Southeast Asian U.23 Championship, winning tickets to the 2026 Asian U.23 Finals, possessing good form in the V-League and deserving to be called up to the Vietnam national team. Besides the goal of finding the next generation for the Vietnam national team, Coach Kim Sang-sik also wants the U.23 players to accumulate more experience, maintain the feeling of international competition to aim to conquer the 33rd SEA Games gold medal.
According to plan, the Vietnamese team will gather again on October 4 in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for two matches against Nepal.
