Schedule, live broadcast of VTV Cup volleyball quarterfinals: Facing the 'golden hour', host Vietnam is determined to win

Today (July 2), the organizing committee of the VTV Cup 2025 international women's volleyball tournament announced the official schedule for the quarter-finals, with the Vietnamese women's volleyball team competing in the 'prime time' slot.

On July 1 at Vinh Phuc Stadium, the VTV Cup International Women's Volleyball Tournament completed the group stage, thereby determining the four quarter-final matches taking place tomorrow (July 3). In the first quarter-final, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team (first in Group A) met the Vietnamese U.21 team (fourth in Group B). The second quarter-final was the confrontation between the Taiwanese team (second in Group B) and the Sichuan Club (third in Group A). ​​The third quarter-final was between the Korabelka Club (first in Group B) and the Australian team (fourth in Group A) and the fourth quarter-final was the competition between the Philippine team (second in Group A) and the Thai U.21 team (third in Group B).

The home volleyball team gets special priority, why?

According to the original schedule, the first quarter-final match between the Vietnam team and the Vietnam U.21 team will take place at 12 o'clock. However, in order to serve the needs of the majority of fans and with the principle of giving priority to the host, this match will take place in the "prime time" slot, at 19:30 and will be broadcast live on VTV2 and VTV Can Tho channels.

The remaining 3 quarter-final matches are as follows: Quarter-final match 3 will take place between Korabelka Club and the Australian team at 12:00 (live on VTV2), Quarter-final match 2 will take place between Taiwan team and Sichuan Club at 14:30 (live on VTV2) and Quarter-final match 4 will take place between the Philippines team and the U.21 Thailand team at 17:00 (live on VTV5).

In the 4 quarter-final matches mentioned above in the VTV Cup 2025 international women's volleyball tournament, there are 2 matches that are considered to be different: the match between the Vietnamese women's volleyball team and the Vietnam U.21 team and the Korabelka team and the Australian team. The Vietnamese team and Korabelka club are considered to be superior, promising to win and enter the semi-finals. The remaining 2 matches between the Taiwanese team and the Sichuan club, the Philippine team and the Thai U.21 team are considered to be balanced and exciting.
