U.19 Vietnam vs. U.19 Thailand: Arch-rivals
Before the semi-final match against Indonesia U.19 women at Thong Nhat Stadium last night (June 16), Mr. Okiyama Masahiko, head coach of Vietnam U.19 women, was very cautious when making his assessment: "The opponent has many tall players, good speed and a clear playing style." But when entering the match, the team from the archipelago country could not promote these advantages in attack, because the Vietnam U.19 women's players created a completely overwhelming game. Even in defense, the Indonesian players also struggled to stop the Vietnamese strikers who possessed impressive acceleration and technique.

Young Vietnamese girls are excellent
The Vietnam U19 women's team won 4-0 overall, thanks to Ta Thi Hong Minh, Luu Hoang Van (double), and Truong Thi Hoai Trinh. Coach Okiyama Masahiko and his team maintained their high form with a series of 4 big wins at the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship. Up to now, the Vietnam U19 women's team has scored 20 goals after 4 matches. The positive thing is that the young Vietnamese girls have shown diversity in their attacking tactics, from set pieces, central coordination, wing attacks, and especially quick transitions for sharp counterattacks...
In the remaining semi-final match taking place on the same afternoon, Thailand's U.19 women's team won 5-1 against Myanmar's U.19 women's team. Thus, the final match for the championship of the 2025 Southeast Asian U.19 women's team will be a competition between two fateful opponents: Vietnam's U.19 women's team and Thailand's U.19 women's team, taking place at 6:30 p.m. on June 18 at Thong Nhat Stadium.
