Revealing 2 new symbolic works of Hai Phong City nearing completion

The investment project to build the Political - Administrative Center and the Conference - Performance Center of Hai Phong City, in the North Cam River Urban Area, Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong, was started on January 7, 2023 by the City Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor with a total investment of nearly 5,000 billion from the budget.

Up to now, after nearly 2 years, two projects considered as new symbols of Hai Phong city are gradually taking shape and ready to come into operation in 2025.

The new administrative center has a total investment of 2,500 billion VND, including 14 blocks, symmetrically designed along the north-south and east-west axes, with a construction area of ​​more than 29,000 m2, and a total floor area of ​​about 89,500 m2.

In which two 15-storey buildings are located parallel to each other with a maximum height of 74.4 m, gradually lowering towards the inside, creating a converging highlight.

The project also includes construction items of auxiliary technical systems, external traffic routes and lighting and rainwater drainage systems along the route.

In addition to the main building, in front of the building is the 19-hectare Hai Phong Administrative-Political Center Square where major city activities will take place in the future. On April 30, this square was where the city held the 2024 Red Flamboyant Festival, attracting thousands of people to attend.

According to Tien Phong reporter, up to now, the blocks of houses in the overall planning have been completed and are entering the finishing stage.

The glass covering the outside of the building was urgently brought to the foot of the construction site by contractors for assembly. According to the design, all blocks of buildings are installed with glass systems, creating open space and receiving more natural light.

Workers are finishing decorating the exterior of the building.

The building is expected to be completed and put into operation in time for the city's Party Congress in 2025.

Next to the Political - Administrative Center project is the Hai Phong City Conference - Performance Center construction investment project, with a total investment of more than 2,300 billion VND.

The project has 1,500 seats, 3 floors and 1 basement, total floor area of ​​nearly 50,000 m2. The project has 2 basement entrances, 4 emergency stairs; traffic system, internal roads, parking lot; garden, landscape, trees, water surface; outdoor power supply; outdoor water supply and drainage; lighting, communication system.

According to the Hai Phong People's Committee, the large hall, in addition to organizing conferences, also hosts large-scale performances of national and international scale. The multi-purpose hall has nearly 500 seats, a round-table meeting room with 100 seats and more than 10 small meeting rooms with 20 to 100 seats each...

The construction of the Political - Administrative Center in the North of Cam River will provide the city's agencies with a new, modern, convenient and smart headquarters to support administrative transactions, information processing, improve and enhance the efficiency of serving people and businesses. Thereby, contributing to the creation of a new, modern and civilized urban architectural landscape, creating new momentum for the development of adjacent areas; promoting the city's socio -economic development.
