Rice tends to increase

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently, IR 504 raw rice has decreased by 50 VND, fluctuating at 8,100 - 8,200 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice has increased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating at 8,550 - 8,600 VND/kg; OM 380 raw rice has fluctuated at 7,800 - 7,900 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice has fluctuated at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice has fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 7,300 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice fluctuates at 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice fluctuates at 6,800 - 6,900 VND/kg; the price of bran fluctuates at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the quantity of imported rice is quite good, the price of all kinds of rice is relatively stable. In An Giang , the quantity is quite good, transactions are slow, the price of all kinds of rice is stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the quantity is concentrated in large warehouses, the price of rice is flat and slightly decreased for medium and bad rice. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is better than the weekend, warehouses buy regularly, the price is stable.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), rice arrives at the docks in greater quantity but the quality is uneven, prices of various types are less variable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang ), the quantity is sporadic, good rice is easy to sell, warehouses buy slowly, prices are stable.

At retail markets, the prices of rice of all kinds are the same as at the weekend. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000/kg; common white rice 17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 21,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

Similar to rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of OM 18 rice (fresh) increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,500 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 6,400 - 6,500 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,700 - 5,800 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuated at 6,300 - 6,500 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the source is quite good, buying and selling transactions are flourishing. In Kien Giang, the source of rice in Hon Dat, Tan Hiep, Giong Rieng is quite good, farmers offer to sell regularly, prices are stable. In Dong Thap, rice transactions are regular, many traders ask to buy fragrant rice, rice prices are stable.

In An Giang, the supply is quite good in Chau Thanh - Thoai Son, rice transactions are slow, prices tend to increase slightly. In Hau Giang, farmers offer to sell more, there is not much unsold rice left, demand from traders is steady.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today are stable compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 391 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 365 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 307 USD/ton.
