(NLDO) - The two men's singles semi-finals in the final stage of the PPA Tour took place and determined the two faces competing for the championship, Ly Hoang Nam and Phuc Huynh.

The final match of the third day of competition of PPA (pickleball) Vietnam was the semi-finals of the Pro men's singles, where Ly Hoang Nam faced Truong Vinh Hien.

Hoang Nam entered the game with great enthusiasm, quickly creating a 5-0 gap. Despite using the time-out to adjust the play, Vinh Hien still could not turn the game around and let Hoang Nam score 2 more points with the same situation of bringing the ball to the end of the field.

In the second half of the set, Vinh Hien gradually caught up, shortening the gap to 2-8 and then 5-8. However, Hoang Nam's bravery helped him maintain his position and close the first set with an 11-8 victory.

Entering the second set, both players were evenly matched for each point. The score was tied at 5-5 when Vinh Hien unfortunately got injured while saving the ball. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Hoang Nam continuously pressed the court and easily won 11-6, thereby closing the match 2-0 and securing the last ticket to the final.

Previously, semi-final 1 witnessed a dramatic competition between Phuc Huynh and Trinh Linh Giang.

Phuc Huynh started off dominating, leading 6-1. Linh Giang was forced to ask for a time-out, regained her composure and brilliantly equalized 6-6, even taking the lead 9-6. However, with his composure, Phuc Huynh also asked for a time-out to come back strongly, equalizing 9-9 and coming from behind to win 11-9.

In set 2, Linh Giang was determined to regain his chance but soon let his opponent lead 5-1. Even though he had equalized 3-5, he still could not stop an excellent and brave Phuc Huynh, and had to accept defeat 3-11.

Thus, the final of the Pro Men's Singles of PPA Vietnam will be a promising match between Ly Hoang Nam and Phuc Huynh. This is also the first time Hoang Nam has participated in a final of the PPA Tour professional pickleball system.
