Specifically, at 2:00 p.m. on July 15, in Xuan Hoa commune, Xuan Truong district (Nam Dinh province), the authorities arrested Vang A Dong while illegally trading drugs, so they arrested him and seized 4 heroin cakes (about 1.5 kg), 1 motorbike, 3 mobile phones, 3 million VND and some other evidence.

At the investigation agency, Vang A Dong confessed that he was released from prison in 2021 after serving 16 years of a sentence for illegally transporting drugs. Dong was aware that drugs were addictive and prohibited by law, but because he did not have a stable job, Dong continued to "go back to his old ways".

Accordingly, Vang A Dong connected, found buyers, and then transported drugs from Dien Bien to the provinces to deliver to customers.

The case of illegal drug trafficking is being investigated and clarified by the authorities of Nam Dinh province.
