Feast your eyes on the 2nd A80 training session at Ba Dinh Square

On the evening of August 24, at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi), a general rehearsal for the parade and march took place in preparation for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (mission A80). This was the second general rehearsal at Ba Dinh Square.

At exactly 8:00 p.m., the program began. Attending, inspecting and directing were Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense ; General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense; and leaders of central and Hanoi departments, ministries, branches.

The general training involved 4 honor guard groups; 43 people's armed forces groups (26 army groups, 17 police groups); foreign military delegations including Laos, Cambodia and Russia; 14 military artillery groups, special police vehicles; and 13 mass groups such as farmers, great national unity, representatives of 54 ethnic groups, veterans, former people's police, workers, revolutionary press, intellectuals, businessmen, women, overseas Vietnamese, youth, culture - sports. In addition, there were honor guard groups, 18 armed forces groups and 11 mass groups standing opposite stand A and along both sides of the Square.

The program includes the following parts: traditional torch procession, military parade - marching in formation with ceremonial flags, armed forces, military vehicles, masses and ends with a large-scale art performance by hundreds of artists and actors.

After passing the stage, the parade groups continued to march through many central streets of the capital amid the cheers and applause of the crowd, before returning to the assembly point. To serve the general training, Hanoi City Police organized traffic flow and directions for vehicles from 12:30 on August 24 to 2:00 on August 25.
