Man Utd and Liverpool created an emotional match in the FA Cup quarter-finals. There were 7 goals scored, Man Utd opened the score and also had the decisive goal in the 120th minute, however, coach Ten Hag's team had many times when they were in a difficult chase and seemed to have collapsed.
With home advantage, Man Utd took the initiative to attack Liverpool, the away team was ready to attack quickly when they had the ball, so the speed of the match was pushed up early. In the 10th minute, the home team got the opening goal, Garnacho finished from a tight angle on the left, Kelleher pushed the ball out and McTominay rushed in to score from close range.

The early goal helped Man Utd players play with confidence, especially in defense, causing Liverpool to go through a long period of ineffective play. However, Liverpool did not show any impatience, coach Klopp's team played calmly and patiently waiting for opportunities.
The visitors' pressure increased towards the end of the first half and Man Utd's defence began to show weaknesses. After a goal was ruled out for offside in the 38th minute, Liverpool equalised in the 42nd minute when Mac Allister's shot deflected off a Man Utd player and changed direction into the net.
The loss of confidence in Man Utd's defense caused the home team to play erratically after losing the lead and Liverpool quickly seized the opportunity to take the lead. In the 45+2 minute, Salah finished the rebound after Onana blocked Nunez's shot.
In the second half, Man Utd tried to fight back but the home team struggled to find scoring opportunities. Liverpool continued to attack quite sharply, but Onana played well to continuously save the home team. As time ticked down to the end of the match, coach Ten Hag decided to increase the attack by withdrawing a defender and replacing it with an attacker (Amad Diallo replaced Varane).
After much effort, Man Utd found the equalizer in the 87th minute, Antony turned and skillfully shot from the edge of the penalty area into the net. Man Utd could have ended the match after 90 minutes if Rashford had scored in the last minute of extra time, but unfortunately, in a free position facing goalkeeper Kelleher, Rashford kicked the ball out.

With a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes, the two teams had to play extra time. Man Utd continued to play more impressively than the away team, but luck smiled on Liverpool. In the 105th minute, Elliott's shot hit Eriksen's foot and changed direction, going into the net, making the score 3-2. Immediately after the goal, coach Ten Hag withdrew Lindeloef to bring Mount onto the field, the home team played the final minutes of the match with only 2 real defenders.
The home team's efforts were rewarded in the 112th minute, from a lost pass in Liverpool's half, Man Utd won the ball and launched a quick attack. McTominay passed the ball to Rashford for a one-touch finish to equalize the score 3-3.
Liverpool did not want to play penalties, the away team pushed up their attack formation in the remaining minutes. In the 120th minute, from Liverpool's unsuccessful attack, Man Utd counterattacked quickly, Garnacho assisted Amad to score, raising the score to 4-3. After scoring, Amad took off his shirt to celebrate and received a yellow card, which was Amad's second yellow card, so he had to leave the field. Luckily for Man Utd, the extra time only had 2 minutes of injury time and they successfully defended the score 4-3.

Man Utd won the last ticket to the FA Cup semi-finals, before Man City beat Newcastle 2-0 and Chelsea won 4-2 against Leicester in the quarter-finals, Man City will play Chelsea in the final. Man Utd will face Coventry, the team that caused a surprise when they won 3-2 against Wolves. The FA Cup semi-finals will be played on April 20, at Wembley Stadium.
