"It's best to cancel next season," a Man Utd fan said after the Old Trafford team failed to reach an agreement with Brentford to sign winger Bryan Mbeumo (who scored 20 goals for "The Bees" last season) in this summer's transfer window.

According to The Athletic , although Bryan Mbeumo has agreed personal terms with Man Utd, Brentford's board of directors have rejected two offers from the "Red Devils" for the team's star.
In the latest offer, Man Utd said they were willing to pay 55 million pounds upfront plus 7.5 million pounds in additional fees. However, Brentford still refused to pay 65 million pounds for the French midfielder.
Man Utd's bargain with Brentford for just a few million pounds for the 1995-born star has made many Man Utd fans angry, as the next season will start in a month.
"It's a shame that many amateur clubs know we're being stingy. Man Utd's summer transfer business is a waste," said a disappointed Man Utd fan.
"What the hell is going on? Bryan Mbeumo clearly deserves the money. Just pay," said a second fan.
A third angry fan said: "We are not serious as a top club."
"This is ridiculous. Next season will be another waste," another person added.
