This strange story took place during a summer training trip of Al Nassr club, where Ronaldo is playing, when they arrived in the town of Saalfelden, Salzburg state, Austria.

According to confirmation from Aftonbladet (Sweden) and sources such as Bolavip (USA) and Sky Sports, Al Nassr Club has deployed a team of up to 16 bodyguards just to protect Ronaldo during his training days in Europe.

This story immediately received mixed reactions from everyone. Mr. Henning Riesselmann - representative of a local support unit called Onside said: "This is an extreme example of a special request from the club. A player with up to 16 bodyguards is something that has never happened before."

Among those affected, the most notable was the German football team Hannover 96, which was training at the same location, being forced to change its training ground due to the “excessive” presence of Al Nassr security forces.

Germany's Hamburger Abendblatt also quoted a Hannover official: "We understand Ronaldo is a famous person, but this is really too much. We have to adjust the whole schedule because of the commotion around him."

The bodyguards were not only assigned to follow Ronaldo from the hotel to the field, but also stood around throughout the training session, making the area tense and heavy, even affecting the privacy and operating space of other teams.

There has been no official response from Al Nassr or Ronaldo about this wave of criticism, but many experts believe that the team is trying to completely control all factors related to their global symbol.

A source from Onside commented: “I have worked with many big teams, but I have never seen anyone bring 16 bodyguards for just one player, including Messi or Neymar. This is an unnecessary show.”

Ronaldo has long been accustomed to being surrounded by media and fans. However, the way Al Nassr has organized the security team for this trip shows a step too far in terms of security.
