Previously, Marcus Rashford received a salary of 200,000 pounds/week in his old contract which only expires in June 2024.

During the past time, MU actively negotiated and persuaded the English striker to continue to stay with the Old Trafford team. Along with the new salary increase to 375,000 pounds/week.

The Red Devils leadership made a salary swap between Marcus Rashford and goalkeeper David de Gea.

MU offered De Gea a new contract with a significantly reduced salary, from 375,000 pounds/week to 200,000 pounds/week.

Up to now, the 32-year-old goalkeeper has yet to sign, giving rise to rumors that he will leave Old Trafford on a free transfer.

Sources within MU said that the club is quite comfortable with the current situation in goal. In case De Gea refuses to renew, the club will recruit Jordan Pickford or Andre Onana to replace him.

As for Rashford, the English striker himself is quite satisfied with his development under coach Ten Hag. Therefore, committing to the future with a new contract is only a matter of time.

Last season, Marcus Rashford was MU's number one scorer. The boss at Old Trafford wants to turn him into the new symbol of the Manchester team.
