Vietnam Fatherland Front sends message of solidarity to Cuba

On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Committee for the Defense of the Cuban Revolution (September 28, 1960 - September 28, 2025), Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, sent a congratulatory letter to Mr. Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Chairman of the Committee for the Defense of the Cuban Revolution.

In the letter, Mr. Do Van Chien highly appreciated the efforts of the Party, State and people of Cuba in recent years despite facing many difficulties and challenges due to the embargo. He emphasized that in this common effort, the Committee for the Defense of the Cuban Revolution has promoted its core role, gathering all classes of people to make important contributions to the cause of protecting the revolution and national security, while promoting social and community activities, building and developing Cuba.

Mr. Do Van Chien affirmed that the Vietnamese people and the Vietnam Fatherland Front always appreciate the solidarity and wholehearted support and assistance that Cuba has always given to Vietnam; and are proud of the special, loyal relationship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of the two countries, which was cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh , President Fidel Castro and generations of leaders and people of the two countries.

He stated that in the context of many changes in the world , the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front and people of Vietnam will always stand side by side with the Party, State and people of Cuba, taking advantage of opportunities, overcoming difficulties and challenges to develop the country.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front always appreciates and wishes to strengthen cooperation with the Cuban Committee for the Protection of the Revolution in the coming time, especially in implementing the Cooperation Agreement for the period 2023-2028 signed between the two sides, bringing the cooperative relationship into depth, practicality and effectiveness, for the benefit of the people of the two countries.
