Me Linh, Hanoi: More than 400 households received policy credit loans

According to the Me Linh District Social Policy Bank, by August 2023, credit capital had contributed to helping more than 400 households borrow capital to invest in fighting poverty relapse, maintaining and creating stable jobs for nearly 2,000 workers; households have better living conditions from 900 clean water and rural environmental sanitation works.

In terms of economic efficiency, thanks to policy credit capital, many collective economic models, farm models, and VACs of households have developed in scale according to the general direction of the district, contributing significantly to the goal of poverty reduction and economic development in the locality.

Up to now, the whole Me Linh district has implemented 1,489 fruit tree planting models in the communes of Chu Phan, Trang Viet, Van Khe, Tam Dong; 994 families raising livestock and poultry; 1,893 families investing in opening retail stores and service businesses...

Director of the Social Policy Bank (SPB) of Me Linh district, Nguyen Xuan Phong, said that by the end of August 2023, the total outstanding balance of credit programs reached VND 540,411 million, a growth rate of 10.7%, an increase of VND 34,702 million compared to the beginning of the year. The disbursement progress of assigned credit programs reached 99.5% of the plan.

Specifically, the district Social Policy Bank has disbursed 115 billion VND to 4,955 customers. Of which, the disbursement for the clean water and rural environmental sanitation program is 19,272 million VND; support for job creation, maintenance and expansion is 94,790 million VND; social housing program is 380 million VND; students are 200 million VND; non-public preschool and primary education facilities are 400 million VND. Policy credit capital has contributed to helping nearly 5,000 customers who are policy subjects have capital to invest in production and business.
