The North will be hot with 35 degrees Celsius in early April.

From Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien - Hue, there will be rain in some places, scattered fog in the early morning, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon; in the south, there will be rain in some places, sunny in the afternoon. Temperatures range from 22 - 30 degrees Celsius.

Other areas have showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night; sunny days, some places are hot; the South is hot. During thunderstorms , there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and hail.

According to the meteorological agency, the North is likely to welcome the first heat wave of 2024, when the subtropical high pressure has stable intensity but by March 28 it weakens and gradually moves south, forming a wind convergence zone above 5,000 m in the mountainous areas of the North.

On March 30-31, the low pressure area in the west developed and gradually expanded to the east, causing the North to be hot and sunny, with temperatures rising sharply above 30 degrees Celsius. On April 1-2, the highest temperature in this area was around 35-36 degrees Celsius.

During this heat wave, the capital Hanoi increased by 9 - 10 degrees Celsius, forecast to reach 35 degrees Celsius on April 1 - 2.

In the South, the heat wave tends to increase in the next 2 days and is likely to last longer. The highest temperature is commonly 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius. The lowest relative humidity is 45 - 50%. The forecast temperature may differ by 2 - 4 degrees Celsius compared to the actual temperature felt outside, or even higher. The risk level of natural disasters due to heat wave is level 1.
